What it does
A family tree that survives your family
Both parents are always recorded, and whether the line follows the father or the mother is a setting — so a marumakkathayam register and a patrilineal one are the same product, not a fork.
Dates as vague as the truth
“Born around 1930” is a real answer and the register stores it as one. Nothing forces a full date on a family that does not have one.
Names as they are actually written
Malayalam and Latin together, the house name first where that is the convention, and no field that insists on a surname.
Subscriptions without a payment gateway
Members pay your association’s own UPI address directly. The money never passes through us, because it never should.
A welfare fund that stands up at a general body
Append-only, so a correction is a reversing entry and both appear. Every figure is summed from the entries, never a cached balance.
The printed souvenir
Typeset properly in Malayalam, with the privacy each family chose honoured — a phone number in four hundred printed books cannot be taken back.
What it will not do
Worth saying plainly, because these are choices rather than omissions.
It sends nothing on its own
Every message is composed by the app and shared by one of you, from your own WhatsApp. Nothing goes to your members without a human pressing share.
It does not hold your money
No settlement account, no float, no subscription of yours sitting with us on its way somewhere else.
It will not delete a person from the tree
Removing somebody would cut their children off from their grandparents. What a removal does keep is told to the member before they confirm.
